Hi,

As part of multi-instance Brokers, we have two different Brokers (BRK1 & BRK2) on the same Linux server. The Execution group (EG1) is same on both Brokers hosting same code. Can EG1 on BRK1 and EG1 on BRK2 listen on same EG port?

Thanks.

No. Either there is a service by EG or broker and you have two brokers that cannot share such resources.

What are you wanting to do? Load balance?

No application can listen on the same port another application is already bound to. This is an OS/network truth and nothing to do with IBM, WMB or EGs

It's load-balancing you want to do, right? Have you considered putting a load-balancer in front of the broker?

Hi, Thanks all for the info. We did a POC and it is confirmed no two EG's on different broker running on one server can use the same port. We have DP on the front end and there is a problem with fail-over. I will post the problem in separate post.
