Hi,
As part of multi-instance Brokers, we have two different Brokers (BRK1 & BRK2) on the same Linux server. The Execution group (EG1) is same on both Brokers hosting same code. Can EG1 on BRK1 and EG1 on BRK2 listen on same EG port?
Thanks. |

No. Either there is a service by EG or broker and you have two brokers that cannot share such resources.
What are you wanting to do? Load balance? |

No application can listen on the same port another application is already bound to. This is an OS/network truth and nothing to do with IBM, WMB or EGs _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

It's load-balancing you want to do, right? Have you considered putting a load-balancer in front of the broker? _________________ A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. |

Hi, Thanks all for the info. We did a POC and it is confirmed no two EG's on different broker running on one server can use the same port. We have DP on the front end and there is a problem with fail-over. I will post the problem in separate post. |
