Hi folks,
what will be the output of :
FIELDNAME(INPUTROOT.*);
i dono but can i find a field name using something like
if FIELDNAME(INPUTROOT.*) = 'ABC' then
blabla
else
bla bla
end if;

Yes, you could get a field name using FIELDNAME function in ESQL, parameter passed to FIELDNAME function must resolve into single_field_reference. For example,

IF ( FIELDNAME(InputRoot.*[LAST]) = 'XML' ) THEN
-- Do something ..
END IF;
