Broker 8.0.0.3

Default MB8BROKER Global Cache policy set to "None"

Execution Group Global Cache properties

Cat server enabled
container server enabled
jmx enabled
listener port 2800
ha manager port 2801
jms service port 2802
connection endpoints 10.170.42.101:2800
cataloc cluser endpoints MB8BROKER_10.170.42.101_2800:10.170.42.101:2803:2801
DOMAIN NAME WMB_MB8BROKER_10.170.42.101_2800

In a JavaCompute node

Code:

MbGlobalMap globalMap = MbGlobalMap.getGlobalMap("DOC");

Which throws a MbException  "Failed to get session with grid"

I have tried a Broker Level Cache setting, and tried a configurable service for WSXServer to access it as an external service, and no difference in the exception above.

What's next?

are there event log entries showing that the cache has been initialised?
what happens when you use the cache command line utilities? can you see that your cache has been setup properly?

What commands are you using to setup the cache in the first place?

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
