Folks,

Not sure how many out there use WMB and Connect:Direct together, but recently I am one.

Purchased C:D to integrate with third parties, and the kicker was that it integrated natively with our ESB, being WMB v8. I understood the product capabilities at a high level, but now having spent a few weeks with it, I realise that all of its “power” and “flexibility” is associated with a process definition. As the broker generates its own process in the CDOutput node, which allows a basic file transfer to be completed, most of this functionality is not available to the broker user.

For me this hamstrings the broker user and temptation is to use File output node with C:D polling as opposed to native nodes.

So I have raised an RFE http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=41322

Would appreciate comments and votes if you deem appropriate.

Thanks.
