Before I even bother getting into details of problems with the Connect:direct nodes, is anyone even using these? _________________ Never let the facts get in the way of a good theory. |

Great - in that case here's one problem I'm having. I don't seem to be able to override the SNODE and Directory parameters in the CDOutput node using OutputLocaEnvironment.Destination.CD.SNODE and OutputLocaEnvironment.Destination.CD.Directory. Overriding ProcessName and Name work OK. I'm using 8.0.0.2 and CD 4.1 on AIX.
And one observation - don't you think the CD nodes are very limited in their CD capability. I'd like to be able to run a CD process with multiple steps rather than just the COPY step, for example, to rename/move the file after successful transfer from the CDOutput node. _________________ Never let the facts get in the way of a good theory. |

Not a problem I've observed. 7.0.0.5 & C.D. Lord knows what on Solaris.

Yes. We're perfectly happy to drop a file via a FileOutput node into a directory where the agent is looking and run a multi-step job. We get the most value from the nodes where we need to determine the file transfer target dynamically based on the file content. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
