Can someone clear up a confusing point regarding Record and Replay functionality in WMB V8.0.0.2?

The IBM documentation says that only DB2 and Oracle databases are supported. However I have just read a transcript at ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/integration/wbimessagebroker/wmb-transcript.pdf that indicates (for a customer) that "any of our supported databases can be used, such as Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2".

Is SQL Server officially supported as a database for Record and Replay?

TIA

You'll need to open a PMR to find out what is and is not supported in this area, alas.

Also, you'll want to open a PMR and get an iFix for an APAR....

And you need to modify the supplied scripts for Db2 and Oracle to work with SQLServer.

Great Simbu, voted on it!

I did some playing around yesterday and got it to work with Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Some minor adjustments were needed in the DataCaptureSchema file. It seems to work fine but official script and support from IBM would of course be nice.

It works fine until you try to read or replay data, then you need the APAR, unless you didn't use any VARCHAR(MAX) fields, you just set the fields to a very small size. At least, for some versions of SQLServer....

Again, if you want an official statement from IBM, you need to open a PMR and ask for one.
