I am new to message broker and I must admit it has been a learning curve. I am trying to figure out how to determine how long a message has been sitting on a gue and then use the sleep function to keep the message on the que for 7 seconds before the next one is released. Can anyone help. |

Thank you, but i do not want to control the entire flow, just the message itself. First I want to see how many messages are on the que, second how long they have been there. I want to set a timer for each message to be released one at a time every 7-9 seconds. I do appreciate the response. |

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
This request comes up from time to time but I must admit that it has been quite a long time since this last appeared.
I am sure that there are many people here who would really like to know why you want to use a high performance messaging system to slow things down in such a way?
If the OP sould like to search this forum I am sure that there is more than one similar question to theirs. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |
