Hi everyone,

We're trying to debug a SQL Server DB issue here and the error we see is the one quoted in the subject which I know indicates the ODBC driver has a issue locating its msg catalog which I'm also investigating but in the meantime is there anywhere where I can find out what 1816073 translates to?

Any help or pointers will be appreciated...

Thanks,

Angus

Seems like its a db driver code. Are you using the db drivers that shipped with WMB ? Sometimes when the db driver cannot capture the whole exception string due to string length limits, this number appears.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Cool, thanks for the tip and the link to the thread (which I had already read) - the other discussion thread makes more sense now and I think I'm safe in assuming our problem is a similar one with a field too long for the ODBC driver to cope with. That would also explain why we see other simple errors as the SQL Server error (as they're shorter error text!).

Thanks again,

Angus
