I am running WMB 8.0.0.1 on AIX 6.1. I Would like to access Teradata from a flow. Does anyone have any experience with this ? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks !

I did not see Teradata in the list. Have you read this article?

One way to get around this is to front-end Teradata with a RESTful Web Service and use the HttpRequest node to make database transactions. If I were coding it, may take several days work.

Some tooling that you might like to look at:

http://restsql.org/
http://phprestsql.sourceforge.net/
https://github.com/zuk/DrowsyDromedary
https://github.com/tdegrunt/mongodb-rest
https://github.com/fatiherikli/kule
http://www.kchodorow.com/blog/2010/02/22/sleepy-mongoose-a-mongodb-rest-interface/

Also, if you can add MQ support to your Teradata Stored Procedure library, then that would be another option.

http://downloads.teradata.com/download/extensibility/websphere-mq-client-udf

Of course, you could always upgrade your Teradata engine to Oracle, DB2, and/or solidDb.

You could create a configurable service with parameters specified.

Properties as given below which need to be configured.

C:\Program Files\IBM\MQSI\7.0>mqsireportproperties MB7BROKER -c JDBCProviders -o
Teradata -r

JDBCProviders
Teradata
connectionUrlFormat='jdbc:teradata://[serverName]/DATABASE=[databaseName],DB
S_PORT=[portNumber],TMODE=ANSI,ACCOUNT=[user]'
connectionUrlFormatAttr1=''
connectionUrlFormatAttr2=''
connectionUrlFormatAttr3=''
connectionUrlFormatAttr4=''
connectionUrlFormatAttr5=''
databaseName='default_Database_Name'
databaseType='Teradata'
databaseVersion='default_Database_Version'
description='default_Description'
environmentParms='default_none'
jarsURL='<JDBC DRIVER INSTALL DIRECTORY>\lib'
maxConnectionPoolSize='0'
portNumber='1025'
securityIdentity='default_User@default_Server'
serverName='default_Database_Server_Name'
type4DatasourceClassName='com.teradata.jdbc.TeraDataSource'
type4DriverClassName='com.teradata.jdbc.TeraDriver'

BIP8071I: Successful command completion.

And then call it from JavaCompute node with the function getJDBCType4Connection
