I want to publish a message on a pure MQ 7.0.x Topic. Not a JMS topic. MQOutput only has field for 'queue' and Publication node worries me because InfoCenter documentation makes it seem like a leftover from the days before MQ 7 with it's built in pub/sub engine.

If publication node is the way to go, what should my "Subscription Point" value be if my topic name is "A" and my topic string is "B"?

Thanks and I tried using search in upper right but got no results, possibly since it's Sunday night and may be some maintenance going on.

In theory, MQ should treat an MQOPEN against a topic name the same as it treats an MQOPEN against a queue name.

The publication node works just fine with MQ v7 topics. Perhaps even too fine. It authenticates the userid in the message against the topic, which may not be what you expect it to do.

You should only use the Topic, and not the Subscription Point, at least from my limited experimentation. Use the topic string.

Thanks MQJeff. Working now. It was stricter as you predicted at least in my local Windows 7 environment.
