Hi,
I have couple of doubts regarding usage of Message Broker adapter (V7) for SAP.
1. Can we send / receive flat file message structure to a SAP BAPI operation? Normally I had extracted xml structure from SAP repository using connection wizard. I know for Idoc, we receive TDS messages from SAP.
2. Within SAP, if some new fields are added in BAPI structure, howevver the same is not exported to WMB, then where the exception would be raised?
Will the new field's value would come within the response message from SAP to WMB and message validation error would occur in SAP Input node?
Or exception would raise within SAP adapter component and the message would not reach SAPInput node?
How to handle this kind of scenario?
Thanks in advance for your response. |

1. From your message flow point of view it works the same regardless if it is ALE IDOC or BAPI. However the adapter is created and configured differently depending upon ALE IDOC or BAPI. That is you create a messageset and adapter from the adapter connection wizards. Good thing since WMB7 is that you can now do iterative discovery to update the definitions.
2. Hmm, don't remember, I've experimented a bit with this, but don't clearly remember my findings. You should always make sure that the adapter is updated after SAP updates it's definitions. |
