Hi All

Hi am using Version 6.1 . I have a requirement to collect employee details from Lotus notes DB.

Input is XML and it converts in to Fixed string(Output) in File system.

Here my problem is while collecting employee details some of the employee name's contains strange characters (Special Characters) due to that the output alignment is changed.So output is not getting proper alignment.

For your reference:

You will have to give us a lot more information to be able to answer your question.

How do you convert it from XML to a fixed string?
Are you using a messageset or how do you do it?
Codepage/CCSID used?
Might the output actually be correct but you are displaying "wrong"?

(Btw, that looks like real user data, you might want to make it more anonymous...)

If the so called strange characters are something that you can handle via esql

Code:

replace

keyword etc, why write it up in the final output and disturb the fixed length output?
