Hello,

We just implemented Linear Logging on MQ 7.1 in LINUX Env. We are using Support Pack (MS62) to Manage Linear Logs.

I saw in infocenter, it says inactive log can be used for disaster recovery, but i did't find how that old log is used for Disaster recovery.

I am wondering do i need to archive old inactive log (superfluous log) ?

If they are no longer needed to restart the queue manager or to perform media recovery of any damaged objects, why we need to archieve ?

Can anybody please share their experience on this.

Thank you in advance.
