Hi Guys,
We are using message broker v8. There is a requirement to do cobol to xml transformation. I am planing to use the mapping node for transformation.
I have a question on mapping node--
If schema/ccopybook gets changed(any new element gets added) after developing the rules in the map node, do we need to remap all the mapping rules again?
Pls let me know.
Thanks
Chris |

The v8 mapping is better at this than v7.
It otherwise depends on the nature of the change. |

Thanks mqjeff.
We are using Message broker v8.
If i had implemented mapping rules already and we get a new element added to the schema, do I need to rewrite the mapping rules? |

Probably not.
If you rename the root element of a message, you likely need to.
If you change all of the children of a message, you almost certainly need to. |
