I am running the basic/simple MQ7.5 Scenario which features all MFT components running on one Windows machine - a global hubQM and AGENT1 and AGENT2 - My first transfer failed. I subsequently stopped the agents using fteStopAgent -p hubQM AGENTn etc and started them again using fteStartAgent -p hubQM AGENT1 and fteStartAgent-p hubQM AGENT2. These commands show in the log as completing successfully. However, MQ Explorer still shows the agents as stopped (even after a refresh). I ran another transfer which was successful - (while the agents were displayed as stopped) - no entry showed up in the transfer log - but the file was transferred OK. Anybody kicked the tires on this thing or have an idea as to why MQ Explorer displays for managed file transfer are flaky? (or is this just another obvious user error?). |

Generally MQ Explorer doesn't know about the status of things that a queue manager has not personally started.
I don't know if that applies to FTE agents, however. |

In this case, the queue manager as been configured as both the FTE hub and the FTE Command server, and because of this, the queue manager was used to start the FTE agents - initially, the UI Displays showed the agents running, but after subsequently stop and start commands (which worked, the UI display is never updated. I guess I should go the PMR route with this, but thought it weird that these features were not tested and checked out prior to MQExplorer 7.5 release. |
