Hello,
I would like to use amqsslchk.exe from MH03.
However it seems this support pack doesn't work with the new GSKIT version that comes with MQ 7.5.
Are there any other tools out there available for a quick check of ssl configurations?
Kind regards,

What about the MO04 SupportPac, which is WMQ V7 'aware'? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

The MO04 doc describes a function different from MH03 SSL Checker. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

But MO04 could be used to cross-check whether the definitions are correct or contain errors... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

As the title of this post suggests, MH03 fails in v7.5. MH03 makes a call to gsk7ssl.dll, which is not present in gsk8 software. So, no MH03 does not work with 7.5.
I suppose I could copy gsk7ssl.dll from v7.0 to v7.5, and give it a try... _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

What I was alluding to was the OPs question of "...Are there any other tools out there available for a quick check of ssl configurations?..", and whilst one of those SupportPacs will do all the necessary checks for you, the other can be used for a Mark 1 eyeball comparison check of the definitions. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

you might have to copy / install all of gsk7 to make it work... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Does v7.5 require gsk 8? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

In general with any supportPac, if you can't contact the author directly - or if the author doesn't respond or can't assist, you should file a feedback on the supportPac site so that it can be raised for further discussion. |

It might not hurt to file an RFE to get the function of a given supportPac implemented in the base product, too... |

I confess that for one of the two support pacs mentioned, I made a new 'lib' directory outside of /opt - copied the MQ 7.5 GSK8 libraries into the new lib directory, renamed all the shared objects, substituting '7's for the '8's in the file names. Pointed LD_LIBRARY_PATH at the new lib directory and the support pac worked just fine. _________________ Distributed Systems Professional Services
