Hello…

We have a production- and a testing environment. Flows are created in the testing environment and later on deployed to the production.

Currently I enter e.g. SOAP uri statically in a SOAP-request node, and change the data each time I go from test to production. This however has become a nuisance, as I often forget to change the static code.

I would like to store environment specific data as e.g. OS environment variables and fetch them on runtime, so I can deploy exactly the same flow to Production and Test.

I googled and found the following supportPac

IA9C

Have any of you worked with this supportPac and made some experience that you would like to share…

Furthermore do I have any guaranty that this supportPac will function if we later on upgrade our runtime to WMB 8.

If your requirement is just to override the property value during deployment, then I guess it can be done in a simple way using a ant script and a properties file during deployment in different environments.

The ant script can read the property value (of SOAPRequest node's URL) from a properties file and do the deployment.

Thanks... I hadn't thought of that...

Found a nice tutorial on ibm, which explains how this could be done...
