I have worked in middleware area for about 8 years but the nature of projects that i was involved with made my expertise very narrow. I only know MQ and Broker. I want to step ahead to more of an architect role down the road. Can someone suggest me a roadmap or where i can look for one?

should i be learning SAP? BPM? SOA? Kinda confused as there is so many tings i could be learning but what are a reuqirements of a good integration architect?

All 3 are a good "starting" point. My point here is not for you to learn SAP, BPM or SOA, but to learn "how" they work with their environments and relate to it.

Also know that without a SOA foundation you will be hard pressed to do BPM.

Have fun
