version: 8.0.0.1 (v8 fix pack 1)

An Application cannot use resources within another Application. Fine.

I am pretty sure that (prior to updating to fix pack 1) when I added a reference from one App to another I got an error stating that was not valid (or something).

I just tried it again (after applying fix pack 1) and no error, and in fact when I create the BAR, it contains deployable flows and esql from BOTH (I have an HTTP flow in each App).

I deployed the BAR and indeed I can call both of the HTTP flows.

Has that always been the case or has something changed ?

Fraser.

A bit more info.

When I attempted to create a reference from another project to App1 I got the error I was expecting (both in the referencing project and App1)

Code:

The Application 'App2' cannot be referenced from the project 'App1'.

And to fix that error I had to un-reference App2 from App1 (and App1 from the *other* project) and clean.

I recreate the App1 BAR, and sure enough, just App1 stuff inside.

However, .. I can get back to the position where I can create a BAR with both App1 and App2 contents, like this :-

Now that there are no errors :-

Add App2 as a reference to App1
DONT clean
Go to BAR file editor and rebuild
Voila The BAR now contains App1 AND App2 stuff, which I can successfully deploy and call

Is this is bug with the Toolkit do you think ?

Fraser
