Hello,

after setting up addressmap for SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN), my mqexplorer is still not able to access the queue manager, with "Access not permitted", a display chlauth showed the following extra default settings. What effect do they have over my explicit set chlauth? Should I remove them?

thanks for any insight!

AMQ8878: Display channel authentication record details.
CHLAUTH(SYSTEM.*) TYPE(ADDRESSMAP)
DESCR(Default rule to disable all SYSTEM channels)
CUSTOM( ) ADDRESS(*)
MCAUSER( ) USERSRC(NOACCESS)

ALTTIME(18.54.32)
AMQ8878: Display channel authentication record details.

DESCR(Default rule to disallow privileged users)
CUSTOM( ) USERLIST(*MQADMIN)

Don't remove them.

Yes, they have an effect. There is a documented order that CHLAUTH rules are applied.

Create a NEW rule that specifically allows access to the user you have addressmapped for the specific channel.
