We are using MQ version 6 pub sub. We have an application that DEREGISTERED a durable subscription and got rid of the application that removed the durable messages for that durable subscription. However there are around a few thousand messages left for that topic on the designated queue. So my question is this, will MQ know to get rid of the messages on the queue that don't have a corresponding durable subscription? I'm guessing MQ won't get rid of any messages in this case.
There is no expiry on any messages either.
So I am thinking they will have to run their application manually to pull those messages off.
Thoughts?
Thanks,

That is what I figured. Even with MO71, it is still pretty much a manual effort. So I will let the applications deal with that.
Thanks for the quick response.

Couldn't just do the clear queue because there were other messages on that queue for different subscriptions. All for the same application, but slightly different topic strings. |
