Hi,
I know that (in WMB v6.1) it is not possible to access different DB's (Oracle,DB2..) from the same compute node and the below quote from the help contents makes that point,
Quote: |
All databases accessed from the same node must have the same ODBC functionality as the database specified on the node's Data Source property. This requirement is always satisfied if the databases are of the same type (for example, DB2® or Oracle), at the same release level (for example, release 9.1), and on the same platform. Other database combinations might have the same ODBC functionality. If a node tries to access a database that does not have the same ODBC functionality as the database specified on the node's Data Source property, the broker issues an error message. |
Is this still the same in v7 and v8? |

Can you find that same quote in the v7 & v8 InfoCenters? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

You can specify only one data source for the node. |
From WMB V7 InfoCentre. |
That has nothing to do with the question at hand.
The question is "Can I access an Oracle DSN and a DB2 DSN from the same compute node".
The fact that the DSN property of the Compute node accepts only a single DSN has nothing to do with the question.
The answer to the question is "No". |
