Dear All,

I have a requirement wherein i need to pull files from a remote location. Can i use any node in Message Broker that will help me in getting files from a remote location to a local directory.

I was checking if this can be done using File Input Node, but it seems to me that we cannot limit the node to just transfer files but it also processess the files which is not my requirement.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks,
Ajay.

You can use the fileoutput node to store them unchanged locally. Don't have to process them any more than you want to.

Possibly could use just a fileinput node connected to nothing - but I have never tried that.

This is a managed file transfer problem, not a connectivity and transformation problem.

Use a Managed File Transfer tool, like MQ FTE...

Easy to say, somewhat harder to implement, especially as it's not included with WMB or WMQ without additional license costs.

There is no reason why WMB can't move files from one place to another.

There is also the option of using the open-source MQ file mover from Capitalware.
