Hi Masters,
I have installed WMB 6.1 toolkit.
But while creating the default configuration I follow the given steps:
from toolkit> Help > Welcome > Create the default configuration.
When I click on this option it throws the following error:
"Navigation to the webpage was canceled".
Looks like my toolkit is unable to connect to internet....
I am able to access internet through browser though.
Can someone help me getting this fixed....
Regards,

Any particular reason for using 6.1 when V8 has been out for more than 6 months now?
If you do have to use 6.1 have you patched (both the toolkit and runtime) it to the latest FixPack before trying to create the default config?
It you are going to be using Broker seriously then it would pay you to learn how to create the Queue Manager and Broker from the command line. It isn't all that difficuylat and especially for V6.1 the name of the broker is unwieldy due to its length. This is fixed in V7 & V8 _________________ WMQ User since 1999

You can't create the default configuration if you haven't installed Runtime as well as Toolkit. |

Hi Guys,
As per your advice, now I am working with WMB 7.
I have installed WMQ 7.0
Toolkit 7.0
Now comes the question of broker runtime. How exactly can I install this. I don't find this included in the files which I have downloaded.
Now I am getting error like " The wizard has been disabled as no locally installed runtimes are present." |

The runtime is a separate Download. The actual file to download depends upon the Hardware and Operating System you want to use as a target.
for windows & Linux you have a choice of 32bit or 64bit kits.
Mine are labelled with part number like
CZE2ML (32bit)
and
CZE3ML(64bit)
Go back to where you got your files from and look for the runtimes. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

In the present software provided by my buddy I have the following files:
1. CZEE2ML (disk1)
2. CZEE3ML (disk2)
3. CZEE4ML (disk3)
4. MB7000_7002 (fix pack for WMB toolkit 7)
I have downloaded MQ 7.0 server trial version as:
1. CI50TML
When I have installed the following, I have status of my launchpad as attached in the images.
1. Websphere MQ 7.0.1 Installed
2. Websphere Message Broker 7.0.1 Pending
3. Websphere Message Broker Toolkit 7.0.0.1 Installed
4. Websphere Message Broker Explorer 7.0.0.1 Pending
I can open the explorer after installing the MQ 7.0.1
I have one more doubt:
While installing I was unable to find the file "IBM WebSphere Eclipse Platform V3.3.msi" so please tell me the solution if this is causing problem. |

It's not going to help.
A bigger problem is that none of the files you list are the install for the broker runtime (which my assoicate mentioned). Without that you're not going to be able to create anything.
I also note we've going from:

Though this does offer you the simple solution of asking your buddy for the runtime install. Unless whoever he works for just gave him the Toolkit because they use a central broker runtime. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Which is what the Launchpad says on the flash screen. The wheels sort of come off when you get to that point & it asks for the install media. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

As provided by my buddy in other country and was later downloaded by me from a common repository.
I registered myself with IBM and found the broker runtime files.
Will try installinf it.
Lets hope things work now. |
