WMBv6.1, We are running into an issue where the incoming XML message contains a field with non standard characters. While it appears the IDOC is built properly when looking at the IDOC prior to the adapter sending it to SAP. However in every instance where the field in question contains these non standard or characters from a different language alphabet, the IDOC data in SAP does not line up properly. Manually replacing these characters resulted in flawless posting of the IDOCs in SAP. Does anyone have an idea if there is an adapter limitation when it comes to so called non standard characters? Or is it possible that the IDOC interpretation by SAP does not deal with those characters correctly? Any opinions based on fact would be appreciated, thanks.

Could it be that you need to change your parsing from byte to characters?

Especially when having a Unicode string you may get multi-byte characters.
You need to take this into account when parsing.
