Hi All,

Under which scenarios does MQ reports 2471 errors.

Like my app team is telling that they received this mq RC but i couldnot find anything in my mq logs ?

Please guide what this 2471 error means?

2471 0x000009a7 MQRC_PROPERTY_NOT_AVAILABLE

im almost every cases - when a returncode is passed to the application program - there will be no entry in the mq logs. why should mq log it? the application was notified.

the returncodes are described in the messages and codes manual, or (these days) in the information center. thats a good starting point with every returncode you receive and that is not known to you.

When the specific case for that code occurs, like in any other system.

No you wouldn't; it's not a WMQ error. If a sql statement resulted in a -803 you wouldn't expect anything in the database log would you?

It means the application team have an issue with their code and you should try reading the InfoCenter. If you did you would have found this!
