Move to Vista or Win7 OR find a copy of Server 2003/64. I've used the latter successfully.
I'm in the other situation at work where I have this shiny new(ish) Laptop with Win7/64 and need to run V6.1 Runtime. These two don't mix. It took a lot of work but I now have 6.1.0.9 (runtime and TK) running in XP mode on said laptop.
XP/64 was IMHO a half hearted attempt by Microsoft to put out a consumer 64bit OS. Driver support is patchy at best. App support? even worse.
IT was a real shame as they had a decent 64bit OS (Server 2003). They could have used that but they didn't.
Finally, I have to ask, do you really need to do your developent on an OS( XP-64) which frankly is dead (and should be burried). I know that many readers here still use it (32bit version) on a daily basis but for new setups?
Do you really need 64bit for developement? Please don't tell us that you are planning to run XP-64 in production? _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
