Hi Friends,
It is seen if the dissconnect interval attribute on channel expires then the channel goes to inactive stage.The other attribute keep alive interval specifies a time out value for a channel.So how could we relate these two attributes in a channel.If we set 10 seconds for the disconnect interval (default 6000),so how could we relate this with keep alive interval.Answers would be greately appreciated.

Keep alive is a whole different animal. You need to google it and read up.
Except in zOS, keep alive is a matter of the OS...
