All,

I am trying out with Email input node to receive gmaill emails with pop3 enabled on my gmail setting but i am getting following error on Event viewer.

I have configured email input node with gmail pop3 server name(pop.gmail.com) and my security id obj name which has my email user id and password. Below gmail support page has connection details for pop3 client.

https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13287 (As the port 995 uses SSL connection, i am not sure this is the isue)

Quote:
( LOCAL_BROKER.Test ) EmailInput node ''Email Input'' in message flow ''EmailInput'' is unable to communicate with email server ''pop3://pop.gmail.com:995''. The error message is ''EOF on socket''.

The EmailInput node cannot communicate with the email server.

Ensure that the email server is running and is accessible from the system that WebSphere Message Broker is running on. Also ensure that the Email Server property is correctly configured on the EmailInput node, or that the serverName property is correctly configured on the EmailServer configurable service.

I have tried with windows pop3 server as well but no luck as of now.

Please let me know if anyone tried with gmail pop3 server or any other pop3 server using Broker email Input node.

Did you set SSL up for the service? Did you set the up the keystore and the truststore?
