I have 2 installation of Message Broker v7 on a single AIX 6.1 server. Both the installations are currenlty at 7.0.0.2 .
Installation directories are /opt/IBM/mqsidev/7.0 AND /opt/IBM/mqsiuat/7.0
I am trying to apply the latest fixpack 7.0.0.3 and during the custom installation, it gives me a error saying "Choosen destination is already associated with another installed product . choose another install location"
How can I apply service to the existing installation insted of installing the product in a different location ?
Is there a install.properties file somehwere, that the installer is picking up the default installation directories ? |

Thought process behind the 2 installation was to give us the ability to apply changes to one region (dev) and still have the other region (uat) unaffected. Once the changes are tested, we can apply the fixpack over to the other region. |

Ok.
You need to speak to your sys admins. However they convinced SMIT to install 2 copies of the same software is what you need to do to update them. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
