Hi Everyone,
Well it is obvious that the channel gets stooped if the channel attribute Disconnect interval time gets over and also if we end the queue manager. Is there any other ways(by error) where the channel gets stopped.Answers will be greatly appreciated. |

No, a channel goes into INACTIVE state when disconnect interval expires.

No. At qmgr restart, a channel will return to its last known state.

This is nicely documented in the WMQ Intercommunications manual.
Two popular ways for a channel to enter STOPPED state:
1) someone issues the STOP CHANNEL command
2) the is in error-retry and exceeds error retries and intervals _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

And to preempt the next likely post, that's not nit picking. INACTIVE and STOPPED are 2 distinct named states the channel can be in, documented, with specific meanings, causes and uses. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
