Dear MQexperts,
Environment :
Linux MQ Client (7012) connecting to queue mangaer on Linux MQ Server (7013)
Application : C based application connecting to queue manger using MQCONN connecting to MQ Server using svrconn (MQSERVER env variable) - acts as glue between Oracle and MQ ..
Problem :
Client idle time set on MQ Server to 43200 (12 hrs ) . On a BAU day, whenever test logs-in (there is time gap of more than 12 hrs from Close of play to start of play) and starts using application very first message fails with 2009 (MQRC_CONNECTION_BROKEN ,we can see connection time out exception in queue manager error logs) exception and later proceeds without any issues after application bounce .C based application was not written to use reconnect features of MQ V7 .Does adding DefRecon=YES in MQCLIENT.ini file on Client system will avoid this problem ?Any thoughts
P.S . : I am in process of testing this but I have to wait till next day to simulate this as client idle on MQServer is set to 12 hrs
