Issue :
We installed wmb patch 6.0.0.10 on 6.0.0.3 still we see broker starting with 6003 version .
Logs :
user:info WebSphere Broker v6003 [2359520]: (CFGMGRT01)[1]BIP2001I: The WebSphere Message Brokers service has started at version 6003; process ID 2146320. : CFGMGRT01.

ps -ef | grep bip
execerror bipbroker 50 libxml4c56.3.a 2 libxml4c56.3.a 6 2
Cause :
Looking at a listing of the files that should be at Fp10 level, the dates in the lib directory still show 2006 for a number of files which should of been updated.
For example:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 26446 Oct 23 2006
libLogonInfo.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 30449 Oct 23 2006
libLogonInfo64.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 411322 Oct 23 2006
libMQConstants.a
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 462389 Oct 23 2006

-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 9726432 Oct 23 2006
libMessageServices.a
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 11002536 Oct 23 2006

-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 15839 Nov 11 22:36
libMqV53toV6Helper64.a
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 15859 Oct 23 2006
libNativePersonality.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 17172 Oct 23 2006
libNativePersonality64.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 115654 Oct 23 2006
libNativePrincipals.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 131906 Oct 23 2006
libNativePrincipals64.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 45294 Oct 23 2006
libPersonality.a
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 48419 Oct 23 2006
Error comes from the install shield application. There is no obvious reason why failed at this point. Possible reasons are lack of temp disk space or resource, or files are in use.
Resolution:
Re installing the fix pack .
Command used :
./setupaix -options /software/WMBFP60010/responsefile_march11 -silent -
is:log/tmp/ismplog.txt -is:javahome /usr/java14.
Post install analysis :
We recreated issue multiple times same was reported to IBM product support team. IBM do not have RCA yet.
Its decided to move with WMB 6.0.0.9 |

It's so nice of you to share (this is your 3rd time) but if you're not asking a question can you indicate that clearly and (ideally) blog about your experiences in a more appropriate forum.
Your experiences of upgrading to v7 - potentially relevant.
Your experiences of patching v6.0 - not relevant. Especially as you should be migrating to WMBv7, not patching v6.0. Or at least patching to 6.0.0.11 not 10 _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Cut him some slack Vitor. The V6 upgrade is part of his migration path to V7. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Personally no in terms of migration (I'm moving from v6.1 hence the non-realisation of the pre-req) but there seems to be a groundswell of popular interest so keep sharing.
As I indicated above (and on one of your other posts) your views on WMBv7 and WMB/WMQ generally would be interesting. I remain unconvinced this is the ideal medium but I yield to the majority. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
