All,
env:
WMB 7.0.0.1
AIX 6
We are facing a strange issue with a deployment.
We have a ESQL compute node in a flow which is calling a java method.
The jar is also deployed to the same EG as the flow. However at runtime, it throws out an error ..

| The Java Method com.aaa.utils.FileUtils.changeFilePermissions' could not be found as its containing class could not be found in the broker classpath |
Has anyone faced the same issue? Any direction on how to approach this would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe an old version of the Jar is being found first. This is one reason I prefer to deploy any third party Jars to shared-classes rather than to EGs. It leaves me only one place to update the Jars.

We checked for the deployed jar file in the EG runtime folder

| /var/mqsi/components/QWBRK/08f0ce83-2801-0000-0080-84095360e286/config/JAR |
and we see that the jar deployed there does not have the class file in it.
However the jar in the bar file contains .class file inside. Weird behavior I would think.
Wondering if anyone has seen this before.... |

This indicates the BAR file deployment was not fully successful. You can check /var/log/messages or /var/mqsi/components/QWBRK/08f0ce83-2801-0000-0080-84095360e286/stdout /var/mqsi/components/QWBRK/08f0ce83-2801-0000-0080-84095360e286/stderr
to see possible causes.
Please try to redeploy the BAR file.

The stderr did not have any errors pertaining to the same.
However, the issue was resolved by redeployment although we could not identify any particular root cause. |
