Hello All,
We are using Candle Omegamon Xe as the monitoring tool. Have anyone used this option "Take action on each item" or "Take action on first item" in situation editor. Can you give a brief description of why we use this.

Take action on first - when a situation fires (for the first time) you only want to perform an action once (like send email). For example, you may get a queue high alert firing and will do so every interval you specified. I probably don't want to get an email every time as I know the queue high exists from the first email.

Take action on every - every time the situation fires (let's say every 2 minutes) perform the action (like send email)

I'm trying to set up a automatic send email action but i can't get it to actually send the mail.

I can't find any good examples of what to write either, can any of you enlighten me on how to write the command?

Is the mailx program setup on the TEMS/TEPS server (if Unix).
Is there an equivalent program setup if WinX?
