Location: Somewhere over the Rainbow this side of Never-never land.
We are sometimes seeing the following error
Code:

RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: Unable to fulfil request for 77922304 bytes of memory space.

In a request to an R3 BAPI.
Is this likely to be an issue with the EG JVN Heap Size or a problem with SAP itself?

Where are you seeing this error. I'd guess it's being returned from SAP and as its a RFC error and not a BIP error I'd guess its a SAP issue.

And if you do a google search for "RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: Unable to fulfil request" there are a few hits on SAP forums.

Thanks for confirming what I thought it might be.
The BIP error code for this text is BIP2951I which is a general catch all code.(IM HO)
I'll chase the SAP People and see if there was something happening on their system at this time.
