Hi,

How do you set the NameValueCCSID (of the MQRFH2 header) using the WMQ JMS implementation? It seems to default to 819, which is not a valid value, and causing a problem in WMQ 7.

Thanks!

I'd be surprised if the NameValueCCSID defaults to an unsupported value when using the JMS classes of WMQ.
Are you sure you are not reading the CCSID value for the next segment?
Are you sure the message was built using WMQ JMS / XMS and not java base or c / c#?
Are you sure you have the latest version of V7 (7.0.1.3) ? IBM retired previous versions of V7.0.1 for a reason.

Yes, I am sure we are using WMQ JMS.

The application sending the message is using the WMQ JMS classes included in the WMQ 6.0.2.4 server and the message is put to a queue in the WMQ 6.0.2.4 queue manager using a connection of type "binding". The JVM is a 1.6.x.

The error occurs when the message is sent from the 6.0.2.4 server to a 7.0.1.2 server. However, still I believe the source of the problem lies in the interaction between the JMS application and the 6.0.2.4 server since it is then the NameValueCCSID is set invalidly.

I'd say the error lies with the 7.0.1.2 server. There is a reason the base IBM download for 7.0.1 is now 7.0.1.3! Upgrade your V7 server. If the error persists open a PMR.

Have fun
