Hi,
I have BASIC question on flow transaction handling. Assume the following layout:
MQInput -> Compute -> DBUpdate1 -> DBUpdate2
Assume furthermore that the MQInput node has the Catch terminal connected to a compute node doing error logging.
Let us say an exception occurs in DBUpdate2 and that the message is rolled back to the MQInput node. The message would be propagated to the Catch terminal, the error would be logged and the flow "instance" would terminate.
Question: Would the DBUpdate1 be rolled back?
Thanks in advance! |

It depends.
Also, this is very very similar to the kind of question that tends to show up on certification exams, and we try very hard not to actually discuss those, as it does no good for anyone. |

Furthermore, it would not be very hard to simulate this flow. This way, you would be able to see the results for yourself. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |
