I installed the WMQ Explorer(Version 7) by downloading from IBM website
• https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?lang=en_US&source=swg-wsmqe
on Windows XP professional
Our WebSphere MQ Server Version: 6.0.2.5 is installed on Linux version
Linux xxxxxx.com 2.6.18-194.3.1.el5 #1 SMP Sun May 2 04:17:42 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux.
During Adding remote QM.
I'm using connect direct option to connect to remote QM .
I did give following parameters-
Queue Manager -- ABC
Host name --- xxx.xx.xx.xxx
Port :xxxx
Server Connection channel - SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN.
I m getting the follwing error .
Explorer cannot administer the queue manager because the user is not authorised to open the queue 'SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLYMODEL'. AMQ4401
Please let me know what I have do apart from what i have done above mentioned steps..
Thanks a lot in advance

there is *troubleshooting* information in that link provided.
it's not just a link on how to open a ticket, it's a link on how to *solve* the problem.
But you're getting an authorization error. You should talk to the MQ admin who runs that machine and discuss the security setup.
If you are the MQ admin, then you should set an MCAUSER on the SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN and then setup SSL to ensure that only you can connect to that channel. |

i agree i assume he did not scroll down to find the information.
however, in addition to that link there is somewhere a section in one of the manuals reading something like "required authorization for Mq Explorer" showing the relevant setmaut you have to perform. I did not find it in the information provided by the link, but maybe i just browsed too fast...... _________________ Regards, Butcher |

And there is of course, THIS, which can be adapted for use _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
