iam getting the following error on start the Default Configuration wizard:

This wizard is not available because user must be a member of the local 'Administrators' group to continue.
If on Windows Vista or above, you must also run the toolkit with elevated privileges
Code:


OS is Window 7, I installed Message broker 7, and when i start the Default Configuration in welcome page of Toolkit, iam gettng the above error

Please help to resolve this error asap.

Yes, you need to be in the Administrators group to create a broker. This allows the broker to be started as a Windows service.

When starting the toolkit to create a broker, right click on the Broker Toolkit icon and select 'Run as Administrator'.

Note that Windows 7 is not yet a supported platform.

Thanks a lot. i run toolkit as administrator. created the default configuration without error,

but how do you say that Windows 7 is not yet supported platform as i have done installation and default configuration is done. Can you please explain this ???

It's not supported because it's not listed in the supported platforms.

That doesn't mean it won't function.

It just means that either it hasn't been tested or the test results haven't been released.

And to be clear, the fact that you've been able to install successfully and create a default configuration successfully doesn't mean that you've got a working product!

It means that it's working *so far*. It might break at any point!

And since it's unsupported, you won't get too far with a PMR.
