Hi,
When installing Websphere MQ 7.01 client it hangs when installing the last section. It stops when it gets to the file amqt0005.txt.
Can anybody help?
Regards,

I'm guessing this is Windows? If so, I've had this before when a reinstallation was carried out.
1. Do a full uninstall, and ensure the Registry is 'clean' of all WMQ-related entries (including GSKit unless something else has installed it).
2. Clear out any WMQ-related files in the Local Settings folder of the user installing (search for the amt0005.txt file to give you the full path).
3. Reboot and try again. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Sorry, I forgot to add "...delete any WMQ-related directory structures..." in the previous post
Other than that, no. It's worth having a look in the amqtnnnn.txt file to see whether there is anything in there regarding a hang. The last time I had this issue on an XP machine, it took a fair bit of hunting around for WMQ-related files etc. in the C: drive, and quite a few reboots. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
