This MQ is out of service but I have to work with it anyway. I need to remotely create a large number of MQ queue managers (each on a different Win2k box). The script I inherited that does this remote create also runs amqmsrvn and a bunch of amqmdain commands to setup chi and trm etc. My question has to do with the amqmsrvn command in the .bat script. The command is coded as follows:
amqmsrvn -regserver -user joe -password joepwd
Documentaion on amqmsrvn refers to it (amqmsrvn) as a dcom process. There is no mention in the MQ5.3 documentation of a amqmsrvn command. This command has been used in the past to set the password for the DCOM service after the QM has been created. Is there documentation somewhere on amqmsrvn as a command that can be used to set the dcom/com process password? Or perhaps the "command" amqmsrvn runs another instance of the dcom process with the -regserver option that can be used to set userID and pwd?
