The message type (let's say datagram vs. request) is not determined during MQ to MQ interaction, is it?
It's determined by the application performing the put onto the MQ queue, right?
Just making sure I'm thinking correctly |

Though for system generated message the "application" is the queue manager.

be careful. there are special situations mqseries will care if a message is datagram or request. check 2027 returncode. i was faced with this situation recently (missing reply-to-queue) _________________ Regards, Butcher |
