your message will sit in qmgr x in the xmitqueue you defined for the proper channel to qmgr y dlq and boq does not come into account if qmgr y is down. you mix things here. _________________ Regards, Butcher |

if queue manager is down then message will sit in transmit queue. I dont think persistence makes any difference to this behaviour. |

It will if the QMGR where they are sitting waiting to be sent to the other QMGR also goes down. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

that was not part of the question. he sends from x qmgr, so xqmgr must be available.
if somebody purges the messages, they are gone too. or if somebody takes away the hardware from xqmgr, they are gone too. but nobody asked if the hardware is safety locked.
don't make easy questions complicated, or please be more specific if you add additional aspects. _________________ Regards, Butcher |
