Hello,
I need to setup an environment in which Configuration Manager and Broker will use different Queue Managers.
i am able to configure both the components when they use single queue manager(configuration managers) but when i define a new queue manager for the Broker Component I am running into problem.
Please suggest me the process or any link that demonstrates the configuration.
environment:
MB - 6.1
MB - 6.0.2.2
Db2 - 9.1 fix pack 5
OS - RHEL 5.
Thanks,

What kind of problem do you have? You just have to connect both queue managers. You can connect them using dedicated channels (sdr and rcvr on both sides) or in a MQ cluster. _________________ Volvic |

setup regular channels (sdr/rcvr), use qmgr alias on both ends to resolve the qmgr names to transmission queues. _________________ Michael

It worked. Created SDR/RCVR channels b/n the queue managers and it solved the issue.
Thanks !!

in my own experience it is recomended that when using separate QMs that a default action should be to create the channels and XMIT queues
newcomers may not know this and only find out when they get the error. it used to be a recomended fix with the help on MQ not sure if it still is though. _________________ Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard drive?
