Hello,
on Unix are the users and applications access to MQSeries logged ?
Especially the rejected access, eg. for security monitoring purposes.
If so, where ?
Thanks.
Bye,

Turn on Authority Events at the QM level and an event message will be created whenever an app gets rejected due to authorities. _________________ Peter Potkay

Thanks for answers.
(1) rejected access are logged into SYSTEM.QMGR.ADMIN queue if Authority Event is enabled at qmgr level.
(2) accepted access are not logged (whatever Authority Event setup) with the standard build-in OAM (Object Authority Manager).
However, because the OAM can be replaced (OAM is an installable component), a user might implement his own OAM with logging facilities for all MQSeries access.
Am I correct ?
Thanks for your advice.
Bye,

If you really, really, need full lock-down, with vendor support, there is always WebSphere MQ Extended Security Edition (ESE) to consider...it'll cost you though. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

You can use the free BlockIP2 exit to log the connections to channels. |
