i want to understand '-bs' parameter in the ftecreatemonitor command.
So, lets say the monitor finds 10 trigger matches (if we drop 10 files of same match pattern at once) and assume that the bs paramter is set to 5, then as per the V7.0.3 notes I see that 2 tasks are created with each containing 5 file transfers.
So, my question is does the two tasks happen sequentially or in parallel. If parallel, then dont we lose out on the order??
And again within each task, do the file transfers happen sequentially or in parallel?
Will be glad if anyone can help me with the above two questions. The reason why i am asking is we are currently facing an issue whenever we have large number of files (like 20) dropped at once and FTE hangs up. So, thought 'bs' parameter in V7.0.3 would help us overcome it by doing a controlled file transfer. |

I am pretty sure it depends how many concurrent transfers you have specified in the agent.properties file.
You would also need to make sure the agent JVM is sized adequately to process this many concurrent transfers.
Info centre will have all the necessary information for that.
If you need to maintain order then I imagine the best thing to do is call an ant script that zips the files into a directory, transfers it, then unzips it at the destination.
