Is it possible to use in the similar way Trigger Monitor application on WAS as we use Trigger Monitor (CKTI transaction) on CICS for triggering messages?

Yes.

It goes by a different name, though.

It's called an "MDB Listener".

But bear in mind that listener ports are deprecated! Better to use the Service Integration Bus (depending on your version of WAS).
