Hi,
In an application that uses MQGet, one can assign a messageId the following way:
String messageId = "Hello World";
MQMessage myMsg.messageId = messageId.getBytes();
...
Is there a way to perform similar logic within a computeNode ? Let say the compute node get an input XML message, and it wants to assign it a message id based on the type of message it is. How do I assign the id in the bytecode format. I would also like to have different msg flows retrieving that msg according to its MsgId. How can I determine the exact bytecode pattern of the MsgId so that I can specify it on the InputNode "Select Msg based on MsgId" property box of the various msg flows ?
-thanks,

Alex,
In a compute node, you can assign message id to your output message using following ESQL,
Code: |
DECLARE msgid CHAR;
SET msgid = '<your_24_char_long_msg_id_>';
SET OutputRoot.MQMD.MsgId = CAST (msgid AS BLOB CCSID InputRoot.Properties.CodedCharSetId);
|
While specifying MsgId in MQInput node, you should specify it in following format:
X'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'
where xxxx... is a hex value of your message id. _________________ Kiran
