Hi all,

we have been having this problem, where the EG's shutdown and come back up immediately. The warning message we are getting is as follows.

Jan 6 13:38:27 ****** user:warn|warning WebSphere Broker v6102[831596]: (*******BRK)[3342]BIP2060W: The broker has detected that the Execution Group E02A, process ID 1151222, has shutdown. : MB95F001BRK.agent: /build/S610_P/src/AdminAgent/ImbAdminAgent.cpp: 4305:

The EG's come back up within milli seconds after they go down. And these errors are pretty sporadic, and we are unable to predict when these will happen and on which environment next.

There are no Core or stack dumps too after this happens. We have thought this might be a problem with the memory and have set memory ulimit to unlimited on the userid.

This is on AIX 5.3 and WMB V6102. I have read some where that says we have to set the memory limit for each EG on AIX, is it ture will this might solve the problem, if so what would be the suggestion for a good number to set.

Also if anyone esle has come across the same situation please let us know if you could get to the solution for this problem or atleast what might be the roort cause.

Also try searching this forum with the BIP#, you could find other suggestions helpful.

Thanks for the reply, I have already gone through this link. Especially the problem which is mentioned here for the the BIP2060W

WebSphere Message Broker V6.1 on AIX® V5.3

After deploying a message flow and starting a broker, you might see the following symptoms:

The execution group restarts
A core dump file is created
A zero length abend file is generated
The syslog contains the following error messages:

BIP2060W: The broker has detected that the Execution Group <insert_1>, process ID <insert_2>, has shutdown.
BIP2227E: Error encountered during abend processing: <insert_1> - terminating.

Additionally, the mqsistart command might not start the broker, and the syslog might contain the following error message:

BIP8893E: Verification failed. Unable to access file '/var/mqsi/components/AIX53_BK/bipcvp_javaversion.tmp' with user ID <insert_2>.

These problems can occur if the level of the AIX V5.3 fileset bos.rte.libc is below 5.3.0.52.

Solution:
To overcome this issue, upgrade the bos.rte.libc fileset to a minimum level of 5.3.0.52. Version 5.3.0.52 is available in AIX version 5.3 TL05 SP2.

We are using version AIX version 5.3.8.2, i dont think this is a problem with the version of AIX.
